Checkmate !

Story

I learned to play chess at a very early age. My elder brother taught me the rules and I occasionally played with my mother and brother at that time. I could barely win a game. One day my brother offered me a pack of chips if I could defeat him in a match and surprisingly I won that game.

I didn't start taking chess seriously until 2018, when my friend Avishek Archan, a former competitive player, challenged me to an online match. I struggled to win, managing maybe one victory out of a hundred. After losing over a hundred times, I decided to dive deeper into the fundamentals and tactics of the game. Gradually, I began winning games against him and even surpassed his rating on chess.com.

Eventually in 2021, I participated in a FIDE rated chess tournament and secured my first win in a rated event on the very first game. Out of three games I played, I won two. Later I participated in another tournament in 2022 and again secured a win against rated player and got my official FIDE Classical rating in July, 2022. After a month I played a Rapid tournament in BUET where I secured my FIDE Rapid rating.
